The athletic department's biggest strength is their coaching staff. During all four years of my high school career, I had excellent coaches that helped me excel in my sport and supported me.

The athletic department's biggest area for improvement is their practice facilities. Thomas field should have been turfed years ago to allow for multple teams to practice there throughout all 3 seasons.

I enjoyed Art every time I went to class. It’s a class that’s laid back and you can actually enjoy.

We did a whole unit in Kanye West as a musician I found that to be interesting because you wouldn’t expect a school to teach that. Nonetheless the lesson was extremely fun and I enjoyed it and I feel a lot of students did.

They have many different types of arts you could have taken, there is so many different music classes you could take so there is a class for everyone.

I thought the various options you can take in science were interesting. I also thought the labs in the science building were cool and fun.

Calculus was my favorite course because we had the best teacher. Mr. Callanan was my favorite teacher he didn’t let us use the iPads in his class because he would make us do fun, active activities in the class. We would do a lot on the boards which really helped the student understand everything they needed to know.

The history department did an excellent job of assigning work that would really make the kids understand history. History might seem like basic knowledge but we were able to see history from different views which made history more interesting.

History class itself is very difficult for a student to stay focused or listen too. The lectures are boring and kids tend to just do their own things when the lecture is being taught.

US History is was my personal favorite. For me, American history is just way more interesting than European history. I was also able to participate more in US history due to having a lot of knowledge on the course.

The English department allowed to be human. I feel most English departments just want kids writing but these classes were seminar based which I found extremely helpful for college.

The English department really does do a great job but every English department struggles with dealing with AI. Some classes in Chaminade banned AI and others allowed it but to an extent which shows how the English department doesn’t have a clear stance on AI.

AP Literature and Composition was my English favorite course at Chaminade. I loved it because my teacher, Mr. Vanderberg, allowed us to have seminars/presentations on anything. Of course we still had to go through the course material but he would always find time to do creative work like this.

Chaminade’s Bloomberg course is very helpful for the future. That course teaches a lot about the business world which is needed to help you in college.

The most important thing a prospective student should know about Chaminade, is it's rigorous academic curriculum. You will take at least a couple AP classes which are very challenging and can contribute towards your college credits if you do well enough on the exam. Additionally, all classes that are not AP classes, are still honors classes.

My favorite teacher at Chaminade was Mr. Hoey. This is because he was a great history teacher and he is a great guy.

Mrs. Agosti because I was struggling in her Spanish 2 class and she helped me get to what I needed to be at, she brought me to the level I needed to be and she is an amazing teacher.
