Biotech with Doctor Crooke!!! That class helped me decide what I wanted to major in in college- it was so interesting and helped me apply all the concepts I was learning

Father Ryan has so many opportunities! And mentor group was such a great way to get to know other students

Strengths
The Arts Department’s biggest strength was being inclusive. They always kind of felt like a safe haven for the students that had trouble fitting in, and frankly the courses were fun.

The biggest area for improvement was that the school could fund it better, i feel like the department could make such better productions and showcases if they were given more money.

My favorite course was Statistics with Mr. Bontrager, there are two, but i had the younger one. He was a very good teacher who gave leeway on homework if you didn’t understand it well, and he always made sure we understood what he was teaching before moving on, it never felt like he was leaving a student behind.

Strengths
Their biggest strength was being involved with the student body. Administrators would oftentimes come on school trips to lead them and always felt like they wanted to help.
Areas of improvements
The biggest improvement they could make would probably be to give more warnings and less infractions. I know a lot of people who were just having rough days and an infraction for a skirt being an inch too short or an untucked shirt only made it that much worse.

Father Ryan’s biggest strength was preparing students for college. They always wanted to make sure we were ready for the next step in life.

Their biggest area for improvement would be to listen more to the student body about what they want rather than changing traditions without consulting the people who actually engage in those traditions.

What is the most important thing a prospective student should know?
The most important thing to know is that they open up a ton of paths to you way before you even begin thinking about the college process. There is also a good counseling department at the school to help with your mental health should you need it.

My favorite teacher at Father Ryan High School was Ms. Spinning. She was one of the youngest teachers there and she taught my senior year english class. She was always really sweet and really helped me through a low mental health point when i needed it.
What courses would you recommend?
I’d recommend taking film studies because it was relaxing and you got an Arts Credit for it. It is only a senior class though.
